How to change Screen Resolution

If you are not able to see the entire home page, or the entire Studio Editor while working on a project, you may want to increase your screen resolution.  These instructions apply specifically to Windows XP.  If you are using Windows Vista, the wording and pictures may be slightly different.

Click on Start>>Control Panel.

If you see lots of little icons on a white background, click on "Switch to Category View" at the top left.

Click on Appearance and Themes from the top of the list.

Click on Change Screen Resolution in the Pick a Task menu.

Move the Screen Resolution slider to the right or left.  Increasing the resolution will make the objects on your screen appear smaller, and decreasing it will make the objects appear larger.  For the Heritage Makers website, you will need the resolution to be at least 1024x768.

After adjusting the slider, click Apply to see how your screen will look.

Your screen will flash black for a moment, then show up with the new resolution.  If you like the way it looks, click yes.  If you want to try adjusting something differently, click no, or just wait for the screen to revert back to how it was before.

When you have the resolution adjusted the way you want, click OK.
