Q: Can I submit templates I made in Photoshop?
A: All projects must be completely created within the Heritage Studio Drag and Drop publishing system. Templates submitted with pre-made Photoshop pages will not be accepted.
Q: Do I need to own the copyright on images? What about photos?
A: You must own the copyright of all photos within a project. You must also own the copyright of any images or art other than that provided in the Premier or Basic art collections that is used in the template. In addition, you must own the copyright of all text used within a project. Any quotations used in the template must be in the public domain. Any quotes found in Studio may be used.
Q: How much text do the templates need to include?
A: Although the amount of text in a design is not specified, HM highly encourages the use of story in its projects and discourages the use of images only.
Q: Will Heritage Makers own the template I created?
A: By submitting your project, you are granting HM a commercial license to all art, photos and text in the project.
Q: What kind of projects will Heritage Makers accept templates for?

Q: How much will I earn when one of my templates is sold?
A: Each template purchased gener¬ates a royalty for the designer of the template. Royalties are paid to the designer regardless of who is purchasing. Sales commissions on template points are paid when a designer sells to his/her personal customers. See the Details and Requirement flyer for more information.
Q: When will I receive royalties?
A: Royalties are paid on the 10th and 20th of each month through direct deposit (cheque in Canada).
